2009 SUMMER READING LIST

Students in grades four and five are required to read ONE book from either the 2010 Nutmeg Book list or the Books Recommended by Abraham Pierson Students list. By Wednesday, September 9th, each student should bring in the completed Governor’s Summer Reading form and a SELL IT Poster advertising the required book that he/she has read. Both the Governor’s Summer Reading form and the SELL IT poster guidelines are part of this packet. The poster WILL BE GRADED.

The Governor’s Summer Reading form will be noted and the children will be eligible for prizes given as part of our Summer Reading Celebration. Please remember as books are selected that each child’s reading ability varies. A selected book may be one that can be read by the child, with the child or to the child. Students may choose to select summer reading books from our suggested Summer Reading List. These books are of various difficulty, genre and subjects.
