Library/Media Center Student Guidelines This information will assist you in using the Jared Eliot Library-Media Center. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions. Mr. Edward Merola, Library-Media Specialist Working in the Library-Media Center All students may come to the library anytime during the day with a pass from a teacher for either research or to take/return a book. The only exception to this policy applies to 8th period Enrichment. Students are welcome to use the library during Enrichment, but only a 10 Minute-Library Pass will be granted from any given teacher. This pass is meant to be used for short durations, getting a book, returning materials or making an appointment. If you need to come for additional time or use a computer, other than ten minutes, then you must obtain a full period pass from Mr. Merola. Your teacher cannot issue a full period pass to the library-media center during 8th period Enrichment. The following rules apply: 1. You must come get a pass before the period of library use begin. 2. You must need to use the library for research purposes only. This not a place to socialize with your friends.... 3. You must come prepared to stay the whole period. 4. You must stay on task and not disturb or distract other students. 5. You may check out two items at a time. If you have borrowed one book and it is overdue, you may not borrow a second book. Computer Rules and Procedures 1. Must have signed the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at the beginning of the year. 2. Before using any computer you must ask permission from Mr. Merola. 3. Use the computer to do only your work not someone else's 4. Ask permission each time before printing from Mr. Merola. 5. Report any problems with the computer to Mr. Merola ..... ASAP !! |
