Eighth graders are creating fabric post cards in their Fabrics classes for soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We sometimes forget about the soldiers because they are so far away from home. We want to let the troops know that we have not forgotten them. The idea came from a web site on the Internet. The Eighth graders work on this project as part of a sewing machine skills review lesson. So far they have created 40 fabric postcards, and wrote messages to the soldiers on the back of the project. They will be included in packages that are are being sent to our soldiers.
