Day of the Greeks
On February 7th our students experienced what life was like in Ancient Greece. Dressed in tunics, they learned about democracy as it is practiced in Clinton from First Selectman Mr. Willie Fritz as well as participated in the Olympic games held in the Stadium of Olympia. In addition, our students who were either Athenians or Spartans had an opportunity to meet some gods and goddesses represented by their peers. To round out the morning, everyone had a chance to sample foods typically eaten by the Greeks at our court of ancient appetizers!
