"The Big Dig"
Mrs. Smalley's students in these photos are assuming the role of archaeologists.
In these photos students are removing the soil layer by layer in hopes of recovering remains from the past. Two pictures though show our budding archaeologists back in the classroom with their finds. Now they need to record information about the items they unearthed and formulate theories about the people who once lived on the site they excavated.
